Some pure accidental Partridge by Cliff Richard on This Morning the other day as he managed to inadvertently fat-shame Alison Hammond while telling a story that had nothing to do with her.

The way he just keeps going with his story and doesn’t pick up on the fact that there’s another big-boned person sat opposite him is just pure comedy. But nowhere near as funny as his moral of the story at the end where he says “if you’re a fan of someone don’t put off getting a photo with them even if they’ve put on weight”, as if that’s a relatable thought process that any normal person finds themselves with. Life changing advice!
Fair play to Alison Hammond for acknowledging the awkwardness and even cracking a joke at her own expense. Absolute pro of the game. I wonder if Cliff Richard felt even a little bit bad about it afterwards?
