The pro-Palestine protests taking place in London on Armistice Day could only mean one thing – Tommy Robinson was going to turn up with a group of patriots carrying St. George’s flags and chanting ‘England till I die’, as they marched towards the Cenotaph in Whitehall.

Only as soon as they reached Chinatown, Tommy slipped away from the group, jumped into a taxi, and went home. Not just any taxi, either. A Pride taxi:

Listen, no matter how you feel about Tommy Robinson, you have to admit – that’s pretty funny. As for the reason he jumped in a cab? Here’s Tommy explaining to a Twitter follower:

Well, I guess there’s no better reason to abandon your fellow patriots than to spend time at home with your kids who you haven’t seen much recently, so fair play on that one. Although avoiding being arrested by the police is probably also a decent enough excuse.

Still, according to Hope Not Hate’s Nick Lowles, some of the patriots in attendance weren’t very happy with Tommy’s Irish exit:

Regarding the march, Robinson previously said: “British men are mobilising for Saturday to be in London” to “show our Government and show our police and show Hamas and everyone sitting around the world saying ‘Britain has fallen’ that there is a resistance.”

He earlier posted a video on Twitter and said: “Why I’ll be in London this weekend and why you should too! #Cenotaph #NeverAgain”.

At the end of the clip, he added: “I’m going to be there reporting, for you, as a journalist to show what’s going on that day, to document what they’ve allowed to happen over the last three weeks.”
