Earlier today, everyone laughed when we posted the news that GTA 6 would be announced by the end of this week, and that a trailer would be coming in December. Which is fair enough, because these rumours have been batted around for years now and always end in disappointment.

Not this time though, because Rockstar just Tweeted the following confirmation that a GTA 6 trailer is coming in ‘early December’ – just a few weeks away:

We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.

So soon after GTA V? Why not give it another 10 years to make sure it’s really polished up? Naturally, the internet is going absolutely nuts right now, with the trailer release indicating that the game itself will be released around the same time next year – December 2024 (typically, Rockstar drop their trailers 12 months before game release).

So there you go – finally some good GTA 6 news, and finally we no longer have to deal with all the rumours and fake reports that have been doing the rounds for so many years. Hallelujah!
