Chelsea’s new owners have spent hundreds of millions bringing in new players and new managers, but still can’t seem to buy a win after their latest defeat to Aston Villa on the weekend. What else are Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali supposed to do?

Something for Eghbali to ponder after he was filmed legging it from Chelsea fans following the game at Stamford Bridge yesterday:

Chelsea’s fortunes have been on a downward spiral since Boehly and Eghbali took over from Roman Abramovich, with a 12th-placed finish last season and now currently sitting in 14th, despite spending big on players. They’ve won one of their first 6 games this season, are dropping stinkers week in and week out, and were booed off the pitch by their own supporters last night.

So what next? Well, maybe the owners could disappear and stop coming to games until things pick up. Or maybe they could sack Pochettino and bring back Jose Mourinho? Now that would be something.
