At his peak, Eminem was not just the best white rapper around but probably the best rapper in the world full stop.
It’s a shame he hasn’t released anything decent in like 10 years, because now you have Jack Harlow and Machine Gun Kelly beefing each other over who the “hardest white boy” in rap is. It all started when Harlow referenced a classic Eminem line in his new song ‘They Don’t Love It’, rapping the following:
Ya boy’s strivin’ to be the most dominant ever / The hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters / And hold the comments ‘cause I promise you I’m honestly better than whoever came to your head right then.”
Machine Gun Kelly took that personally, and decided to diss Harlow with new track ‘Renegade Freestyle’, set to Eminem ‘Regenade’ beat and referencing Harlow’s album ‘Jackman’:
“I see why they call you Jackman/ You jacked man’s whole swag, give Drake his flow back, man,” Kelly raps at the 1:22 mark of the freestyle. “I eat rappers like Pac Man/ Must I regurgitate and show you who’s in my stomach from the last dance?”
Have to think Eminem is cringing his face off at this sorry excuse of a beef featuring two rappers who are cheeky enough to compare themselves to him. I mean, there’s no way either MGK or Jack Harlow think they’re anywhere near the caliber of rapper Eminem was, right? The guy is an icon and universal household name. Most people would struggle to name one track from either MGK and Jack Harlow and I’m not even trying to be disrespectful; it’s just true.
I think the only way this should end is with Eminem dropping in and obliterating both these guys with one simple freestyle. They can’t be mentioning themselves in the same breath as the GOAT and get away with it, can they? It’s like Tekashi 6ix9ine saying he’s the best rapper since Biggie or Tupac or something.
When either MGK or Harlow drops anything near as good as this, let me know:
