I’ve stayed in a bunch of hotels in my life and whilst some of them have felt a bit unclean and creepy, I don’t think I’ve ever felt like anyone working in them might come into my room and assault me when I’m asleep.

Sadly though, this is the situation that Peter Brennan allegedly found himself in at Hilton Downtown Nashville hotel on the night of March 30th this year. Brennan was fast asleep in bed at 5am when he claims that the 52 year old night manager David Neal snuck into his room and started sucking on his toes, after cloning a key card to gain access. Ick.
Here’s what Brennan had to say about the situation:
I instantly jumped up and was screaming.
Went into sort of fact-finding mode.
Who are you? Why are you in my room? What are you doing here?
I could see he was wearing a uniform, he had his name tag on.
He was talking to me but not giving me any substantive answers.
I’ve been suffering from post traumatic stress disorder since the incident.
I still don’t really feel safe in my own home.
Yeah to be fair that does sound like a really freaky and weird situation to find yourself in and one that probably would mess you up for a while, especially when the guy sucking your toes looked like David Neal. Eww.
For what it’s worth, Neal claims that he was in the room because he smelled smoke in the hotel, but nobody else in the hotel smelled anything and he never said anything to security or anyone else at the time either. Pretty suspicious, but I also kinda feel puzzled and shocked and pretty sad for the guy that he just wanted to suck Peter’s toes so bad that he broke into his room to do it? Must be something seriously up with him to not be able to control his freaky urges like that.
Neal was arrested at his home last Friday and was charged with aggravated burglary and assault. Probably won’t take too long for him to go down for it. Not down on someone’s toes, to prison I mean. Deservedly too.
For more of the same, check out a Florida man who woke up on Christmas Eve to find some random sucking his toes. What is wrong with people round there?
