A mystery Premier League footballer has released a rap song on YouTube under the name ‘Dide’, and now has football fans trying to work out his identity.
See if you can spot any clues in the music video/lyrics:
Some people think they’ve worked it out already:
It’s Eddie Nketiah listen to his lyrics carefully

100% Wilfred Zaha because he’s talking about politics in his lyrics and it sounds like him, he talks about politics in his interviews as well.

Think about the lyrics, listen to the voice, and understand the meaning behind the tune, I have no doubt that the man behind the mask is Harry Kane

Real ones know it’s Noni Madueke

The man behind Dide (the rapper) has to be Reiss Nelson. “Dide” follows @slowflowanimal , a Dutch rapper. As we know Reiss Nelson played for the Dutch team Feyenoord last season. Could this mean Reiss Nelson is the secret rapper? #dide #whoisdide #reissnelson #nketiah #rapper

I like the Harry Kane shout personally, but it seems most people are convinced it’s Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah because there’s a few clips of him around the net rapping in his car and plus ‘Dide’ is almost an anagram of Eddie if you take away the ‘e’. Not sure it’s ideal that he’s dropping rap tunes on YouTube while Arsenal are in a title race for the first time in years, but then it’s not like he’s in the starting XI anymore so I guess he’s got to pass the time somehow. Whoever it is, I wonder if this affects their transfer value at all? You get a footballer and a rapper in one.
It could also be that Dide is not a Premier League footballer at all and this is some kind of (genius?) marketing tactic to bring eye balls to his music video. The truth always reveals itself eventually… as fellow masked rapper M Huncho found out.
