A Mexican referee who was fed up with a player demanding a VAR review shut down his complains with a swift knee to the bollocks, before adding insult to injury by showing him a yellow card.

Not being funny but I’m going to have to side with referee Fernando Hernández on this one. Leon’s Lucas Romero was obviously squaring up to him and getting in his face, and he’s actually lucky he didn’t get shown a red card as well for flopping onto the pitch like a little bxtch. Imagine if Chris Kavanagh had landed a kick like that when Mitrovic pushed him during Fulham’s FA Cup loss to Manchester United a couple weeks back? What better way for players to learn they can’t mess with match officials?
Unfortunately for this referee, he’s now been hit with a 12-game ban because I guess this sort of thing is frowned upon even in Mexico. Meanwhile in Brazil, referees are straight up pxssing their pants in the middle of the pitch.
