Pretty much the whole world assumes that the meaning of life is to find a partner and have a couple of children with them, so when someone decides to go against the grain and not do that then for some reason it’s kind of a big deal and they need to shout from the rooftops and tell everyone why they’re doing it.

That’s what 28 year old Taylor Vasu, and her husband 27 year old husband Justin are saying anyway, as they’ve decided to come out and tell the whole world that they’re not planning on having children because they’re having too much wild sex and go on holiday 12 times a year. The couple have been together for six years themselves, having met in college back in July 2017 and then marrying in Hawaii in June 2022 all whilst living it up the whole time apparently, shagging all over the world.
Here’s what Taylor had to say about their decision:
Most people say when you have kids – your life will be over.
It makes us not want to have any.
People sometimes guilt trip me by saying my maternal clock is ticking. I tell them – ‘You’re just mad at the consequences of your own actions, I don’t want to be miserable like you.’
We can do whatever we want, whenever we want, and I don’t want to give that up.
We lost two years of our lives to covid.
We both love to travel – it’s always been the foundation of our relationship.
Now the world is functioning again, we want to visit all the places we missed out on.
This year we want to check out Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Texas, New York and Italy. and Taylor feels having children would be an encumbrance to their travelling plans.
We have friends with young children and we see how much it halts their lives.
You rarely see a couple with a newborn travelling to Tahiti. Children are so reliant on you.
Our schedule is really ours to make.
We love a spontaneous plan, and when you have kids, that’s not possible.
W’re not as tired, so we can have wild sex nights during the week if you want.
You work out together in the morning, so the foreplay starts as soon as you wake up.
By the end of the night you want to jump your partners bones.
When you have children, you have no time for that.
Your life becomes all about your child, and you forget about yourself and your marriage.
Maintaining your independence in a relationship is really important, but that becomes really difficult with children because they are so reliant on you.
It’s hard to hold onto your identity.
Having a child is expensive.
I want to buy a house and have a good solid 10-15k before I think about having a kid.
We want to wait until we’re financially prepared to have children, to get the bulk of the travelling done, and to give our children the best life possible.
I want to be the person whose life doesn’t come to a screeching halt when they have children.
I’m terrified of being a bad parent, so I’d rather take care of myself first.
When you have children, your weekends are over, date nights – forget about it – and intimacy goes down the toilet.
Financially and mentally we’re not ready. I still want to spend time and have fun with my husband.
Right now we’re really enjoying being young and in love, and we don’t feel any need to have kids any time soon.
I mean that’s great that she’s enjoying her life and seems to have everything planned out how she wants it all to work out, but I’m not really sure why she feels the need to announce this to the whole world like she’s discovered the cure for cancer or something? Surely this is just a similar life decision to millions of couples all over the world? It’s like not a big deal or even that newsworthy in the first place? Weirdos.
For more of the same, check out this unemployed 56 year old who has 40 kids with 20 different women and has the perfect excuse for his behaviour. Pretty much the exact opposite of this couple hey?
