J.K. Rowling seems to have been digging a deeper and deeper hole for herself over the last three years after she made some tweets that could have been perceived as transphobic and then considered to double down on them over and over again – and it doesn’t look like she’s showing any signs of stopping any time soon either.

The controversial author has today revealed that she’s starting a podcast series where she discusses the issues that have plagued her career alongside host Megan Phelps-Roper, who was once a member of the Westboro Baptist Church herself. It’s called ‘The Witch Trials Of J.K. Rowling’, which I’ve gotta admit is a pretty catchy title.
Anyway, in the trailer for the show she reveals that she never meant to hurt anyone with her original comments – a remark that I doubt is going to go down too well:
What has interested me in recent years, particularly on social media [is when fans say], ‘You’ve ruined your legacy. Oh, you could have been beloved forever, but you chose to say this.’
And I think: ‘You could not have misunderstood me more profoundly’.
I never set out to upset anyone. However, I was not uncomfortable with getting off my pedestal.
Geez. I just do not know what good J.K. Rowling thinks is going to come of this, or why she just keeps doing stuff like this over and over again? Nothing she says or does is treading any new ground and all trans people/sympathisers are just going to hate her even more whilst all the TERFs out there are going to love her even more and the people in the middle are just going to shrug their shoulders and question why she’s still talking.
Just give it up already. Nothing she’s doing is helping anyone or progressing the conversation more and she just comes across like some rich arrogant busybody. Just go home and be quiet.
For more of the same, check out J.K. Rowling annihilating a fan who asked her why Dumbledore was gay. Why’s she so behind that and not the transgender community?
