A junior police officer suspended over a fling with a senior officer is now being investigated over an affair with a big time UK drugs boss – talk about playing both sides!
PC Caitlin Howarth, 21, was suspended in 2021 over an alleged affair with Chief Superintendent Daniel Greenwood, 38. Interestingly, their relationship was only exposed after anti-corruption cops began looking into Caitlin’s links with a drugs kingpin now in jail over the supply of heroin. As well as establishing that she was banging a known drug dealer, they also busted her fooling around with the Chief Supt, reports Metro.
Married Chief Supt Greenwood, who has been a serving officer for almost 20 years and is the Bradford District Commander, was also suspended, and it now remains to be seen whether further action will be taken against the officers – I’m guessing that’s very likely.
Caitlin has since made her Instagram account private, but I managed to find some pics anyway. She had already racked up 10,000 followers before this story even broke…
Not been too great on the police PR front recently, especially in the last few weeks. I know you’re always going to get a few bad apples when there are over 150,000 police officers in the UK, but it’s still concerning to see how many corrupt cops wind up on the force. In fact what Caitlin is being accused of is pretty tame compared to some of the other stories we’ve seen doing the rounds. Still, can’t be hooking up with drug dealers and/or chief officers when you’re a PC yourself. You live and you learn.
