With 14 million subscribers on YouTube and 5.8 million followers on Instagram, 17-year-old Twitch streamer IShowSpeed has the internet by the balls. Videos of him chilling in his room playing video games literally rack up millions of views within hours. The Ronaldo obsessive has built up such a following that he’s appeared on Sky Sports broadcasts alongside Jamie Redknapp and Louis Saha, and even made a viral clip with Geoff Shreeves reading out the team sheet for Man Utd Vs Aston Villa.

Since then, Sky Sports cut ties with Speed after previous misogynistic comments he’d made during streams emerged online. In one clip, he responded to a woman who turned him down by saying “who’s gonna stop me?”. Speed apologised, blamed it on being young and naïve, and promised to do better in future. Well, he’s now in Qatar attending a few World Cup games, and apparently not doing ‘better’ just yet:

Yikes. The clip quickly went viral and Speed released this apology explanation:

In fairness I don’t think the lad does it out of maliciousness, he’s just an idiot who’s so full of beans that he doesn’t think before he speaks. Yeah OK it’s never a good look when you mistake someone’s ethnicity and then mock their language, but that appears to be his way of building rapport and making connections with people. Just get a load of this other clip from the same night:

At this point the guy has such a huge and devoted following that he could probably make fun of a disabled homeless transgender Muslim and still not be cancelled over it. Still, there’s only so long he’ll be able to blame it on the ignorance of youth.

For the time Speed went viral for losing his rag at an OnlyFans model during a livestream, click HERE. Mental.
