Ban USA from World Cup nowpic.twitter.com/5ZgxiaUg8x

I can’t lie to you. I’m very triggered right now. USA supporters belting out “it’s called soccer” chants? With their dumb American grins on their stupid American faces? It’s somehow even more annoying than the “USA! USA!” chant because they know what they’re saying is completely wrong but they’ve been getting away with it for years anyway. They already nicked a point from Wales on Monday, what’s going to happen if they manage to get a result against England on Friday? Are they going to start a “soccer’s coming home” chant too?
That would be the ultimate troll to be fair. Which means one thing: we can’t let it happen. Kane, Saka, and everyone else need to be on their A game come Friday evening because I can’t think of anything more humiliating than a soccer team beating a football team in a World Cup game. In Qatar no less! Look how wound up everyone is on Twitter already – all from a single chant:
If it is called Soccer, why are your top 3 teams named Football Club.

If there was another big global sport that shared the name of football then I guess I would understand the confusion but as you can clearly see. There’s only 1 global sport called football. I don’t see what the confusion is here. pic.twitter.com/wo4efqpc9l
