Hooters isn’t really a thing over here in the UK – except in Nottingham of course – but I’m sure we all know what it is: a sports bar where you can eat chicken wings and drink beer whilst being served by babes with massive boobs wearing short skirts.

You can understand why it’s popular over in America, right?  Obviously these kind of establishments attract a certain kind of clientele and I think I would be right in saying that this probably shouldn’t stretch to family birthday parties including very young children.

One person that would disagree with that statement though is TikTok user Darby Allison, who decided to take her five year old son to Hooters for his birthday and have the waitresses sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him with the rest of the bar joining in as well:

@darbyallison19 Shouldn’t have told them it was your birthday buddy 😂 #embarrased #hooters #fyp #happybirthday #MadeWithKeurigContest ♬ original sound – Darby Allison

Lol that is quite a cute video (that has been viewed an incredible 8.2 million people at the time of writing) but it’s inevitably created some backlash with people questioning why anyone would take a five year old kid to Hooters. I kinda have to agree with that, although the chicken and fries in the video do look like the sort of stuff that a five year old kid would absolutely love to scram down on for their birthday.

However, given that the family were filming this over in America, there’s probably another five places within about a two minute walk serving almost exactly the same kind of food without loads of scantily clad and objectified women working there. Therefore, it’s a party foul for me Darby Allison, sorry.

Happy birthday to Xander though. Sure he’ll remember this one for the rest of his life. He’ll probably grow up to be a cop who loves Trump, Kid Rock and guns though because of it. So it goes.
