I remember Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt breaking up a while ago and I think I remember her saying something about him being abusive, but it seems to have been mostly swept under the table by the media until now.

Jolie and Pitt are currently clashing in court about the sale of a French winery that the pair previously owned together. In court documents that have just been released, Jolie talks about Pitt’s abusive behaviour towards her and their children on a plane ride in 2016 that ultimately led to the breakdown of their relationship.
The New York Times reported the following and Page Six posted up some black and white photos of Jolie’s alleged injuries at the hands of Pitt too:
The division of assets soured after Pitt forced Jolie to sign a nondisclosure agreement that would have contractually prohibited her from speaking outside of court about Pitt’s physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.
Pitt allegedly launched a prolonged physical and verbal outburst as the pair and their six children flew from France to California in September 2016.
Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face.
Jolie tried to stop him by putting him in a chokehold, which Pitt broke by throwing her into some chairs.
He then grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her before pouring beer on Jolie and beer and red wine on the children.
Federal authorities investigated the incident but declined to file charges. In the days following it, Jolie filed for divorce.
Geez that really doesn’t sound too good does it? Not really sure whether anything will come of this given Pitt’s immense popularity and the fact that the two are just fighting a legal battle over the sale of the winery and not the alleged abuse, but I think at least some people will side against him now.
Although given how Amber Heard and Johnny Depp went down this summer, you wouldn’t bet against it these days would you? Wait and see I guess – maybe it will be different because children are involved? – but I can see this just disappearing again and not having a big deal made out about it. Some people just get away with it.
