A woman spent three days in hospital after her daughter’s dog ‘accidently’ took a dump on her face while she was asleep.

Amanda Gommo, 51, was taking an afternoon nap with chihuahua Belle when the pooch became ill and violently sprayed diarrhea all over her face. She ran into the toilet to be sick but later ended up in hospital with a gastrointestinal infection.

The mum-of-three from Bristol told MEN:

“I was having my afternoon nap with Belle, like I always do, when I suddenly felt something squirt in my mouth. I rushed to the bathroom and my son was in the shower, so before I washed it out I had time to take a quick snap!

It was disgusting, and I was hurling violently for hours after – I just couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth.”

Absolutely disgusting. I mean no dog is perfect but I’m pretty sure yours has never sh*t in your mouth as you slept. If any dog was going to sh*t in your mouth as you slept you can guarantee it’s going to be a chihuahua. I don’t know how well Amanda and her daughter had trained this dog but there’s every chance this was cold, calculated attack. You just never know with chihuahuas – they’ll get you when you least expect it.

Since being discharged from hospital, Amanda has said she’s giving Belle the benefit of the doubt:

“I’ve forgiven Belle for her little accident and I still love her with all my heart, but I will definitely be more mindful of what position we sleep in in the future!”
