Queen Elizabeth II’s death has dominated the headlines over the past week, so it makes sense that a major narcissist like Grimes would get involved and try and make it all about herself.

Grimes decided to tweet the following story about how when she was a kid, she was accused of throwing a snowball at the Queen during her state visit to Vancouver back in 2002. It’s sort of a funny story but I’m kina surprised that people haven’t jumped all over Grimes and berated her for being disrespectful and pulling it out now to gain some clout off the Queen’s death:
Once the queen was gna drive past my high school on a snow day, and all day the teachers threatened us no snow balls. as she drove past it was dead silent, all teachers high alert. And just as the procession was almost past a single snowball arced from the crowd & hit her car

Yeah that’s kind of funny like I said, but it seems unlikely that nobody would ever be able to figure out who did it. I doubt it was Grimes because it sounds like she was probably a weird introvert back then and this is the kind of stunt that someone who never leaves their hometown performs.
You would have thought someone would have bragged to their friends about doing it, right? Grimes probably didn’t have too many friends running in those circles though. Or too many friends.
Anyway, it’s also really strange that people are loving it and not annoyed at Grimes, but I suppose people that still think Grimes is cool are a small bunch and they probably don’t cross over with all the royalists out there. Completely separate Venn diagrams. What a weird crossover.
For more of the same, check out when Grimes went on a bizarre rant about AI and Communism. Ugh.
