There hasn’t really been that much speculation about who Jake Paul’s next opponent will be after his fight against Tommy Fury and then some other guy back in August was cancelled for a variety of reason, but UFC legend Anderson Silva’s name had been floated around a bit over the past couple of weeks.

And now it turns out that this is true – at least according to Jake Paul. Paul posted a video on his social media accounts where he confirmed that the fight would take place in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday October 29th and that he would also be knocking Silva out in five rounds. I suppose you have to admire his confidence?

Wondering why it’s in Arizona? Apparently that’s one of the only places that will approve Silva’s boxing licence, which is why he couldn’t step in as an opponent for Jake Paul back in August at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Obviously Silva is more well known for his UFC career rather than his boxing career, but for once Paul has picked an opponent who is know for his striking and boxing skills and not his wrestling skills like Tyrone Woodley and Ben Askren previously. Silva has also been taking part in boxing matches since he left the UFC and has recent victories over Tito Ortiz, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Bruno Machado. Could be quite the challenge for him.

The thing is that he’s 47 and Jake Paul is 25, so Paul clearly has a massive advantage there. Still, it’s gonna get people talking and be an interesting fight to watch back the highlights of after not paying for it. That’s all I’m saying.

For more of the same, check out Jake Paul talking about how his mates stole $3 million off him. Unlucky pal.
