Everyone in the country is excited about the prospect of two days off to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – even if most of us don’t really care about the Royal Family – and obviously all your favourite brands are getting in on the act as well with those deliciuous special offers.

We’ve already seen Greene King offer free pints of their IPA on Monday and now Greggs are offering to give away free sausage rolls over the Jubilee Bank Holiday. As with all of these things though, there’s a massive catch and the offer is nowhere near as good as you thought it would be when you clicked on the article.

OK so first of all you have to be living in the radius of a participating restaurant – and it’s not quite clear at this point which of the 2000 locations in the country are taking part – and then you have to order at least £10 worth of Greggs via the Just Eat app before you receive your single free sausage roll. So you’re basically spending £10 to receive a £1 sausage roll free of charge which doesn’t really strike me as the deal of the century, but I suppose if you’re ordering a bunch of Greggs for your Jubilee Street Party/Picnic then it doesn’t hurt to get one free does it? Might as well stick to making your own or buying some ASDA own brand ones if you really wanna save money.
