I think we’re all well aware what the term snowflake means at this point, so with that in mind it’s kind of surprising that it’s taken so long for someone to come up with a television show that involves pretty much abusing and torturing a bunch of them.

Netflix have happily commissioned ‘Snowflake Mountain’ now though and it’s set to premiere on June 22nd. You might be able to guess the concept of the show, but just in case you can’t, check out the trailer and synopsis below:
Welcome to Snowflake Mountain.
A place where ragtag stuck at home snowflakes with zero life skills have to step up to the plate.
Built as a wilderness boot camp, our snowflakes will compete to see who has what it takes, competing for a life-changing prize and the chance to kickstart their life and liberate their parents.
The back-to-basics camp is a rude awakening to just how pampered their lives have been so far.
At stake is a transformative cash prize for the lucky winner.
There’s no running water, no parents to wait on them, and, worst of all, no WiFi. But, by connecting to nature, they’ll learn to graduate as fully functioning adults.
I dunno. I thought that was going to be a lot better than it looked in the trailer after reading the synopsis. Sure, there are a few moments where they’re crying and looking upset – and the line about being a vegan is a killer – but it all looks a bit too positive and cheery for me. Was looking forward to seeing these guys really suffer and it doesn’t really looks like that’s going to happen. Hopefully the show proves me wrong, but I’m a bit disappointed at this point.
For more of the same, check out The Rock blaming snowflakes for sending society backwards. Hopefully he shows up for a cameo.
