It’s the last week of the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial and Kate Moss has to be the most interesting witness left to take to the stand after Amber Heard mentioned a rumour during her testimony that Johnny had pushed her down the stairs whilst they were dating.

This rumour has never been confirmed or denied by Moss and her and Depp are still kind of tight – you could see Depp’s lawyer being visibly excited when Heard mentioned her name – so it’s no surprise that she’s taken to the stand today and denied that he ever hit her or threw her down the stairs. Here’s what she had to say:

We were on holiday in Jamaica and we were leaving the room after a rainstorm – Johnny was ahead of me – when I slid down the stairs and hurt my back.
And I screamed because I didn’t know what had happened to me and I was in pain.
And he [Depp] came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention.
Wow is that what Kate Moss’s voice sounds like? Don’t think I’ve ever heard it – she sounds like a pretty annoying person schweffe doesn’t she? Suppose I should have known that already really though.
Anyway, I don’t think this is quite the smoking gun that Depp’s lawyers might think it is, because it doesn’t really change the fact that Amber Heard was aware of a rumour that Depp had pushed Kate Moss down the stairs and acted on that information in her fight with Johnny. Even if it didn’t ever happen, it’s well known that there was a rumour going around about it, so it doesn’t really change Heard’s mentality in that moment.
However, it does at least show that Depp doesn’t have previous with abusing this ex-girlfriend. Again, not really super relevant when we’re talking about his most recent relationship though, even if it does help to build his character. Not long now until the jury deliver their results now. Gonna be such a major fallout after this.
