The aptly-named @Maddypanic has shared this footage with us this week, in which she captures evidence that her psycho neighbour has been stalking and harassing her. Can’t think of many things more terrifying than being a single woman living alone and having to deal with this:
I mean it was only a matter of time before Maddy ended up murdered in her own apartment, right? This guy is clearly certifiable. The most shocking part is that the police did F all besides show up and get screamed at. Is Maddy supposed to call 911 when he’s literally holding a knife to her throat or what? It’s just crazy that there’s nothing they could do about it.
The footage has led to a whole bunch of women online sharing similar experiences and proving this isn’t an isolated incident:
I hired a guy to do some yardwork for me. I told him I no longer needed his help after he started asking questions about my husband being home. He showed up at my house late that night and tried to walk in my back door. Cops said he had to attack me before they could do anything.

My stalker left his arm prints on my door. He got into my crawl space. He led police on a 100 MPH chase down my road while my kids waited in the driveway for their bus. Why do women have to be murdered before anyone cares? pic.twitter.com/61OqGfP1GJ

Had to call cops on a neighbor harassing me. Cops came talked w/him. Came back to talk with me. One brother flat out asked cops “when can I shoot him?”
Cop didn’t bat an eye and said if he comes in the house do what ever u want to to him.
Yes, it’s scary sometimes for us.

My ex husband was a cop. He threatened me with his glock and choked me. You could see finger marks on my neck. The cops said they couldn’t see anything. They took him away and he called me 96 times from the police station. They never charged him. This went on until I fled.

My aunt’s 1st husband went abusive after she left him. Kept trying to get in like this guy. She got a gun. At one point, a cop told her, off the record, to wait until he was past the threshhold then start shooting. Even if she hit him with the first bullet – empty the gun in him.

Scary stuff. Good news is that Maddy has since got the hell out of there and stocked up on a cache of weapons. Hopefully this woman who filmed her stalker crashing through her bathroom ceiling has done the same.
