Dad Who Killed His Kids Because He Believed They Had ‘Serpent DNA’ Says He Was Radicalised By David Icke

Despite the fact that David Icke is one of the most ridiculed personalities on the planet, there’s still millions of people out there who believe his theories that an interdimensional race of blood-drinking, shape-shifting lizards run the world, disguising themselves as Queens and Presidents and CEOs to blend in with the rest of us while they concoct global events like the COVID-19 pandemic, climate crisis and wars.

Matthew Coleman, 40, who ran a successful surf school in his native Santa Barbara, California, went so far down the rabbit hole that he began to believe that his children had inherited reptilian DNA from their mother, and has admitted to FBI agents that this is the reason he killed them.

As per The Independent, Coleman said he’d been having visions and seeing signs that revealed to him that his wife, Abby, “possessed serpent DNA” and was potentially a “shape-shifter.” He believed his wife had passed the reptilian DNA on to his kids—2-year-old Kaleo and 10-month-old Roxy—and that his children now possessed “corrupted DNA” that would spread if something wasn’t done about it.

Ultimately, Coleman drove his kids from their home in Santa Barbara to Rosarito, Mexico, where he killed both children by stabbing them through the heart with a spearfishing gun. He then dumped their bodies by the side of the road.

Coleman said they were going to “grow into monsters” and killing them was the only way to “save the world.” I’m not sure why he didn’t kill his wife seeing as he believed she also possessed reptilian DNA, but apparently they were both big into QAnon conspiracy theories. Coleman however because particularly paranoid, seeing signs and symbols everywhere and concluding everyone from his closest friends and his wife were part of a conspiracy.

Two days after Coleman was arrested, he was being transported from Ventura County Jail to the United States Marshals Service and began talking to FBI Agent Joseph Hamer, who was accompanying him. Coleman told Hamer about his beliefs and explained that he first learned of “lizard people” on Twitter from “that British guy with white hair”, who I think it’s safe to assume is David Icke.

In fact, some of the comments Coleman made to the FBI during interviews were practically verbatim from Icke’s book ‘Children of the Matrix’, which describes ‘interbreeding between the reptilians and the blond-haired, blue-eyed, Nordic peoples’, ‘reptilian DNA’ and their relation to the ‘Illuminati.’

No doubt this tragedy will be used as an example as to why misinformation and conspiracy theories can be so dangerous, but I’m not sure how much of the blame someone like David Icke should shoulder TBH. It’s not like Matthew Coleman would have been OK if he hadn’t found Icke’s conspiracy theories; the conspiracy theories just fueled his existing psychosis/schizophrenia. Then again, mental illness + conspiracies that are totally insane = a dangerous mix indeed. RIP to the two young victims who would’ve been utterly confused and terrified by their dad’s behaviour in their final moments. Devastating and heartbreaking that something like this could even happen.
