I’m at the AMC cinema waiting for Lost City. The projector is broken, they’ve been working to fix it for 30 minutes. A woman in the audience has decided to get up, go to the front and try out her stand up comedy on us. It’s not good. I just… 🤦♀️

Did this young lady sabotage the projector herself so she could get up in front of the crowd and have 15 minutes of glory? Don’t think that’s completely out of the question. Unfortunately she kicked off her set with “I’m a single mum” and it was all downhill from there. What I don’t get is why she would think the audience needed entertaining anyway? It’s 2022! We all have smartphones that can quite easily keep us busy for a quarter of an hour while the cinema sorts out its screen and gets Lost City up and running. The lady has since been identified as California comedian and ‘psychic medium’ Tiffany King, and she told Buzzfeed her performance was a ‘victory against misogyny.” Of course she did.
Fair play to the audience for sitting through it and resisting the urge to call the police. Have to imagine it would be hard to get in a word edgewise at one of her psychic “consultations” when she’s not moonlighting as an impromptu comedian. Full marks for confidence though – gotta give her that.
