We haven’t really been hearing so much from the Russian invasion of Ukraine over the last week or so as the situations sadly moves towards a stalemate that could take months or even years to resolve.

Hacking collective Anonymous are still doing everything the can to undermine the war effort and are now claiming that they’ve managed to hack the Russian Central Bank. The news came courtesy of Anonymous TV, who made the announcement via Twitter last night:
JUST IN: The #Anonymous collective has hacked the Central Bank of Russia. More than 35.000 files will be released within 48 hours with secret agreements. #OpRussia pic.twitter.com/lop140ytcp

Wow. Not really sure if this is true or what these ‘secret agreements’ refer to, but it’s certainly piqued my interest.
For those of you that don’t know, the Central Bank of Russia is responsible for protecting and ensuring the safety of the ruble, which has obviously nosedived since the news of the invasion broke a couple of weeks ago. They’ve already been forced to more than double the key interest rate and impose capital controls to staunch the outflow of cash since the announcement, so who knows how the revelations contained in these ‘secret agreements’ could affect the currency once they’re released? Very interesting.
For more of the same, check out when Anonymous hacked Russian TV to show footage from the Ukraine front line. They’re really playing their part in this war hey?
