Pretty mad that one idiot’s behaviour can result in a plane being diverted and dozens of other people being inconvenienced, but this passenger on board a Jet2 flight from Manchester to Antalya in Turkey was causing so much carnage that the pilot felt he had no choice; changing route to Vienna so the woman could be booted from the aircraft.

The woman was drunkenly pacing up and down the aisle, slapping fellow passengers and screaming in the faces of flight attendants. One passenger told the Manchester Evening News:

There was lots of noise. She came to the front of the plane. She was really angry towards Jet2 staff and wouldn’t calm down.

Her voice was getting louder and more aggressive – she was shouting in people’s faces. People were saying she was kicking off at the airport before she even got on the plane. Then some people said it was over babies crying on the flight.

A customer said something and she slapped him in the face. Then a man got up to try and calm the situation before taking her to the back of the plane.

She then slapped one last customer across the face as she exited the plane for good measure. What confused me at first was that no one in this video was wearing face masks aboard the flight? Is this an old video or something? Nope – apparently you no longer have to wear masks on planes leaving the UK. Who knew?

Shame this young lady had to ruin the flight for everyone regardless. Wonder if she’s embarrassed watching that footage back or just finding a way to blame her behaviour on everyone else? Probably the latter.
