The situation in Ukraine continues to develop and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be resolved anytime soon, although it does seem like Putin has grossly underestimated the support that Ukraine has ended up receiving from the rest of the world – which can only be a good thing.

The best (for lack of a better word) of this resistance has definitely come from the cyber hacker collective Anonymous, who yesterday hacked loads of the official Russian websites and TV channels to show frontline footage of the war in Ukraine and today it’s been revealed that they also managed to hack into Putin’s £73 million private yacht over the weekend as well. Once inside, they managed to make it look as if the yacht had crashed into Snake Island, then changed its destination to hell, its callsign to ‘ANONYMO’ and the name of the boat from ‘Graceful’ to ‘FCKPTN’. Banter.
The hackers — who are affiliated with an Anonymous offshoot called @theanonleaks — told me they did it by manipulating the maritime “Automatic Identification System,” which is used to track ship locations.

The breach highlights how vulnerable AIS is to manipulation. There have been many similar cases in recent years of people faking the locations of ships by meddling with AIS data; it’s become a theatre of information warfare. https://t.co/AEEftGygPm

Yeah I guess that is pretty funny isn’t it? Not really sure if it’s the best use of Anonymous’ time in this conflict, but it’s going to annoy and inconvenience Putin and put pressure on him to stop invading Ukraine and it’s kinda jokes so you gotta rate it really haven’t you? Let’s hope Anonymous continues to fuck around with everything over there in the future, even when the conflict ins hopefully resolved because quite frankly Putin deserves it, the prick.
