Plus, if you’re visiting an area on vacation and want to buy fireworks there, it pays to ask locals for recommendations for quality yet reasonably priced goods. While pyrotechnic spectaculars are fun to watch, the over-the-top finale fireworks are particularly expensive and not generally worth investing in for small-scale events. If you want a big finale, you’ll need to pay for the expensive 500-gram products containing the highest fire powder level you can get in residential products. Retailers charge more than $40 per item for these in most cases, but you won’t find you get the bang for your buck you probably expect for that outlay.
You’re better off spending your money on 200-gram fireworks that are heavier than you might think but much most cost-effective than the 500-gram products. They’re tightly packed, too, with powder, so you get a higher burst and significant boom when you set them off. These will give you plenty of wow factor for your New Year’s Eve, Fourth of July, or other nights.
Consider Discounted Package Deals
Another way to save money is to buy discount package firework deals. Many sellers put together comprehensive packages for individual customers that give you a range of firework types and sizes to create a quality show. Rather than buying lots of separate elements, you should find that you enjoy a better return on investment with packages.
Do, however, evaluate options carefully to see what you’ll get for your money since not all packages offer excellent value. Steer clear of deals that contain less popular or older stock or fillers like sparklers and smoke balls that don’t give as much of a big display as other options.
