Every few months it seems we get a story about some ‘model’ who has been banned from a dating app for being ‘too hot’ – i.e. people mistake their profiles for catfish and report them – and it’s such an ego boost that they just have to let everyone know.

In the case of 24-year-old Tahlia Paris from Los Angeles, California, though, she seems genuinely devastated by it.
The Playboy model has been single for 4 years after her last relationship ended when she discovered her partner was married, and she finally decided to get back in the dating game recently.
She signed up to Bumble and soon received an e-mail from admins saying her photos had been removed, which she believes is due to her looking “too hot” as the pics did not break guidelines.
Tahlia told the Mirror:
It happened three or four times to different pictures and Bumble only allowed one of my pictures to stay up, which was really hurting my odds in the dating app world. The photos I posted very were basic.
One was a selfie of myself, one was a picture a friend of mine had taken at the beach. I tried to keep it very PG and not model-esque at all. I wanted guys to not stop at my profile because I’m a professional model but because I was just another average girl looking to date. I even kept my Instagram and everything private and separate from Bumble. I’ve had guys in the past solely try to hook up with me because of my presence on social media
Heartbreaking. Just heartbreaking. All Tahlia wanted was to be ‘another average girl looking to date’, only for Bumble to crush her hopes and dreams because she’s unrealistically good looking. She didn’t even link her IG account (900k followers BTW) because she didn’t want to appear as anything other than ordinary. And this is how Bumble treats her? Just a horrific injustice of the highest order.
I know Tahlia says she wants to keep her Instagram account private and all, so that guys don’t chase her for the wrong reasons, but come on, she’s sold her story now and the cat’s out the bag. Imagine you did match her on Bumble, had a bit of a convo, then found she has nearly 1m followers on Instagram, and looks like this….!
Mama mia! Come on Bumble, do the right thing. Let Tahlia live!
