A German man has set the Guinness World Record for most body modifications – and says he isn’t finished altering his body yet.

Rolf Buchholz actually got his first tattoo at age 40, and since then his enthusiasm for body modification took over, as he soon became addicted and ended up with 516 body modifications, including tattoos, piercings and subdermal implants.

Meet the man himself:

Jesus! Imagine sticking him under a giant magnet?

Turns out some of Rolf’s body mods are more, um, temporary… in terms of sticking hooks through his skin and suspending himself into the air:

Yikes! Whatever floats your boat I guess. Rolf says he has added even more body modifications since they were officially counted at 516, and is going to keep going. Which can’t be too encouraging for whoever the #2 most body modded person in the world is.

As the most body modded person in the world, Rolf makes a decent living travelling the world and going to tattoo conventions and modelling. Which must be annoying for anyone in a rush to catch their flight who gets stuck behind him at the airport metal detector. Or for anyone who has to sit next to him on the plane. Pure nightmare fuel! Seems a nice enough guy though.
