So yeah, half of that is legitimately creepy stuff with minors and half is basically consenting adults dating other consenting adults. Bit unfair conflating the two in one giant Twitter thread? I mean you can’t lump a 21-year-old dating a 17-year-old (who later got married) and a 40-year-old dating a 25-year-old under the same category as a 47-year-old dating a 13-year-old, can you?
I mean you might still give a few of these (legal) relationships the side-eye but ultimately a 25-year-old can make their own choices about who to date. Imagine trying to paint Leo DiCaprio as a predator because he likes shagging 25-year-old models FFS. Sure it’s a bit creepy, but throwing him under the same umbrella as R Kelly? Come on now.
