If ever someone was going to come out on a tirade against the Chinese and their responsibility in this whole Coronavirus pandemic, I don’t think that you would have expected it to be Bryan Adams because well, I don’t think anyone really thought that Bryan Adams was necessarily a thing any more.

Nevertheless, 2020 has been a weird one and it’s the Canadian singer songwriter who said the following on Twitter and is now being accused of racism:
Not really sure if racist is the first thing I would take from that rant – more that he is a major vegan and thinks Chinese people are idiots for eating bats and hosting wet markets all the time? I don’t think that’s racist, but maybe I’m wrong there as these people seem to think that it is.

I am so mad at Bryan Adams for his racist dumb comment that I went in my attic, found an old pair of Bugle Boy jeans from 1985, got his cassette from a pocket, and threw it out.

OK, so look: if you do not understand why Bryan Adams’ tweet was super fucking racist, I can’t help you.
You are part of the problem.
JFC we are in the dumbest human timeline ever.

This racist shit by Bryan Adams prompts a reminder that ‘wet markets’ are just places selling meat, fish and other perishable goods.
The alternative is a ‘dry market’ that sells non-perishables such as household products and electronics.
e.g. Billingsgate is a wet market. pic.twitter.com/BYowgfPZZ3

Bryan Adams’ racist xenophobic tirade has been up for 10 hours now. Damage has been done.

The news that Bryan Adams is a disgusting, racist troglodyte really cuts like a knife.

The Bryan Adams post that you think is MAGA rhetoric but turns out to be obnoxious vegan grandstanding is the greatest twist ending I’ve ever seen. pic.twitter.com/eB4fCAx2uW

Glad to hold my hands up if I’m wrong but still think it’s more aimed at people eating animals in inhumane conditions rather than the Chinese and eugenics in particular. Think my reaction it is best illustrated in that last Alex Griswold tweet, and Bryan himself even said that this was his intention in another Instagram post today where he mustered up a half hearted apology for it. The original post is still up so it’s clear that he isn’t really sorry about it at all though.
Yeah, make up your own mind about it, but I don’t think I’m gonna be boycotting Bryan Adams because of it myself. Just wouldn’t have listened to him or gone to his concerts anyway.
