Although most people out here seem to be observing the rules of quarantine and self isolation, we’re always hearing about certain groups flagrantly breaking the directives and it seems like they really went for it over in the United States this weekend.

First up we’re in Chicago, where it’s being said that around 1000 people cramped into a house party on Saturday night. That would be a pretty crazy gathering at the best of times, but the fact that it happened during lockdown and so many people just ignored the rules is completely nuts.
Anyway, a bunch of people uploaded videos of it onto social media because I mean there’s no way that the government or police or anyone would ever see that and they would get into trouble. Here’s what a 23 year old attendees of the party said as well:

Coronavirus and social distancing? Apparently, that’s not a thing at this Chicago house party that went down over the weekend!

There] were about 1,000 people in the yard and in the house. It was really crowded and hot.
I’m not worried about [the coronavirus] . . . but if I didn’t have it before, I probably got it now.
Oh well.
Considering there are 1000 people at that house party, doesn’t it look a bit crap? I guess they were scared to blast out the music because of it getting shut down, but even so it just kinda looks like people standing around and not really having that good of a time. Not even really that jealous of people attending after seeing the footage.
Also, you just know that at least one person at that party is probably going to end up dying after attending it because they picked up the Coronavirus. I guess they’re not that bothered about that though because they got to party, so don’t feel bad for them.
There’s also the chance that they’re going to get arrested before the COVID gets them, as both the Chicago police force and mayor have seen the videos are are investigating. Would probably be shitting it more about that than dying from Coronavirus to be honest.

I know this is a very difficult time for Chicagoans, but there is a reason we are asking you to stay home and socially distance: it saves lives.
