Even though Greggs is one of the cheapest and best fast food outlets in this country, the one thing out there that’s probably better than a Greggs is a free Greggs and that’s exactly what you can get your hands on this Friday, courtesy of Deliveroo celebrating their sixth birthday.

Of course, there’s a catch and that comes from the fact that you have to be in London and be near one of the following stores: Holborn, The Strand, Cheapside, Southampton Row, Ludgate Hill, Paddington, Chancery Lane, East Cheapside, Whitechapel, Victoria Coach Station, Earls Court, Elephant and Castle, Clapham High Street , Shepherd’s Bush where Deliveroo staff will be handing out both sausage rolls and their vegan equivalent. That kinda defeats the purpose of Deliveroo because you’re supposed to get them delivered to your house, but I guess it’s good for brand awareness and being partnered with Greggs or something.

Here’s what Will Shu, Deliveroo’s first rider and CEO said about the initiative:
Deliveroo was founded, built in and inspired by London.
In 6 years we’ve worked together to build one of Britain’s most successful tech companies, that now operates in over 14 countries.
Deliveroo customers love amazing food whether it’s a gourmet burger, protein-packed salad or even one of Greggs’ famous sausage rolls.
Real useful mission statement there. Still, nobody is gonna turn their nose up at a free Greggs so yeah, if you’re near any of those locations on Friday head down and see what’s up. Hell, even if you aren’t maybe make a special trip, but make sure you get there early. Those free sausage rolls aren’t gonna be sticking around too long. Especially the vegan ones.
For more of the same, check out how much money the vegan sausage roll has made Greggs since its debut. Staggering.
