There’s a time in everyone’s life when you’re scared that someone might be creeping around your house and hiding before jumping out to get you, but for most of us we stop getting worried about things like that after the age of about 11.

For an unfortunate few though, those fears will return in reality, as an unfortunate student at the University of Greensboro, North Carolina called Maddie found out over the weekend. She returned to her house after a night out to discover that some weird guy was hiding in her closet wearing all her clothes.
The man identified himself as Drew and was fortunately non-violent or threatening – apart from you know breaking into the house and wearing her clothes – and she was able to chat to him for ten minutes whilst sending her boyfriend pictures of him on her phone. Once he showed up, Drew thankfully left and was later arrested, and thrown in jail on a $26,600 (£20,443) bond. He’s been charged with breaking and entering, as well as identity theft, larceny, possessing stolen goods, and failing to appear in court in connection with previous cases.
Here’s what Maddie had to say about her experience:
I just heard rattling in my closet. It sounded like a raccoon in my closet.
I’m like, ‘Who’s there?’ And somebody answers, ‘Me.’
He’s like, ‘Oh my name is Drew.’ I open the door and he’s in there, wearing all of my clothes.
We always joke that there’s a ghost in here because I’ve been missing clothes since I’ve been living here, like shirts – like a shirt at a time or pants at this time.
It makes me think he’s been here before.
I’m leaving tonight, yeah, just signed a lease for a new apartment.
Can’t really blame her can you? I mean if his behaviour isn’t weird enough just take a look at his mugshot and hairline. Definitely something up with the guy and I definitely would not want him to know where he lived. Well done getting out of there, although hopefully he’ll be locked up soon as well because he looks like the kinda guy who might be able to track you down later.
