Deathmatch was the meme before memes, remains a hot topic on social media and will be a smart, funny way to tackle the over-the-top rhetoric of today’s pop culture where it belongs – in the wrestling ring.
I mean I’ve got high hopes for this but I’m not sure if it’s ever going to be able to top the original because you can see half the celebrities and fans these days just getting so offended by it that they would end up suing it or boycotting it if it did something controversial. Hopefully it was retain that cutting edge, but in 2019 I’m just not sure it’s going to be able to keep that level of cutting satire going. Fingers crossed though.
