We’ve talked about the weird new worldwide ‘suicide game’ Momo that has been affecting people all over the world and it seems like it’s claimed another victim with this latest report coming out of Barbosa in the northwest of Colombia.

Police are stating that they believe the recent deaths of a 16 year old boy and 12 year old girl in the region have come as a direct result of Momo. It’s thought that the boy passed the game onto the girl before his death, before she was found hung a few days ago.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the game, it involves some unknown number with that weird avatar texting a young impressionable kid on Whatsapp and making themd o challenges on increasing difficulty. This eventually leads to them being challenged to commit suicide and some of them actually going through with this – as these two are sadly suspected.
Government secretary Janier Landono said this about the recent case:
Apparently, they practised this game through WhatsApp and it invited the young people to hurt themselves.
The game has different challenges and the suicide is at the end.
Grim. The game has been compared to Blue Whale that was going on last year and linked to 130 deaths in Russia. Momo has allegedly been working its way through South America, with cases already occurring in Mexico and Argentina, but this is the first one from Colombia. It probably won’t be the last either.
Hope the cops can stop it somehow but I don’t think they can right now. Just don’t let your kids play it and tell them not to get involved with it. Please.
