I think it’s fairly obvious that if you’re going to have a Vodka Red Bull – or a Jagerbomb or whatever mixed with Red Bull – on a night out, then you’re going to get absolutely blammoed and there’s a high chance of doing something that you might regret but thankfully now science has decided to run a study to confirm this for us.

The study was published in the Journal Of Psychiatric Research the study’s co -author – Dr. Matt Parker of the University of Portsmouth – says the following about it:

The potent mix compounds the effects of heavy drinking, and increases the risk of fighting, violence, and participation in risky behaviours.

This study is the first to show that the two together may be exacerbating some of the negative effects of binge drinking.

I’m glad that these results have now been finally scientifically proven to us but I probably figured it out by most of the people that regularly drink that crap taking their shirts off all the time and twitching around looking to punch anyone that so much as looks at them the wrong way. Seems fairly obvious just from going on a night out in somewhere like Romford or Enfield to be honest.

Bizarrely though, Parker and the rest of his team didn’t deduce these conclusions from observation of establishments in these towns, but instead chose to test out their hypothesis by studying fish who swam infish who swam in water tainted with alcohol and taurine (the ingredient largely responsible for Red Bull’s energy boost). Members of that group were more likely to swim near a fake predator fish than those exposed to only one ingredient or neither.

They also became more difficult to communicate and reason with which is another symptom of drinking too many Vodka Red Bulls. So now you know.
