Britain’s biggest ever Wetherspoons opened its doors yesterday after the budget-boozer transformed a building that had been derelict for nearly ten years.

A few hours after the updated Royal Victoria Pavilion in Ramsgate, Kent had opened, the pub was heaving with queues at the bar, where you can buy a pint for just £2.25.
Aside from a brief power cut, the opening went smoothly and the pub has set itself up to be the epicentre of Wetherspoons for years to come.
The pub chain reportedly spent a whopping £4.5million on renovating the old pavilion building, which sounds like a lot but they’ll make that money back in no time at all.
The Royal Victoria Pavillion consists of two floors, two bars, a ground floor rear garden and a first floor roof terrace. It is set to serve more than 1,000 people at any one time, it has 551 tables and a 6,500 square foot sun terrace. Basically, it’s absolutely massive and is reportedly the biggest pub in Europe.
They probably could’ve done with opening the thing a bit sooner to get all the summer drinkers, but then again this is Wetherspoons so they’ll still be busy all year long and at least they’ve still got the remaining weeks of sunny weather to serve up £2.25 pints.
