In terms of politics in this country, there were a couple of major events this week: the televised debates that our Prime Minister didn’t bother to show up to last night, and the release of ‘House Of Cards’ series 5 at the start of the week.

Surprisingly, the two seemingly separate events coincided last night when the ‘House Of Cards’ Twitter account decided to troll her for not attending the debate:
@theresa_may They respect you more when you show strength. Or show up. pic.twitter.com/mNXXDKL0xd

Wow. I guess Theresa May must have fairly thick skin to be a politician – especially in the last couple of weeks where she seems to have been rinsed from every angle too – but it’s gotta hurt when you get burned by a sick TV show as well.
Still, nobody can really argue that May doesn’t deserve it. If you’re gonna call a general election then you should probably make sure that you’re going to have enough time to actually campaign and attend the key showcase events in the run up to it, otherwise it seems kinda pointless in even making it happen. It’s also kinda dumb that she says she can’t attend because she’s too busy thinking about Brexit negotiations, when if she doesn’t get elected (re-elected? Not sure as she was never actually elected in the first place) then she’s probably not going to be around to take part in them anyway.
I’m not gonna tell you who to vote for, but that doesn’t seem like somebody who’s going to give us the strong and stable future that she keeps spouting on about. Just saying.
