A chef over in Wales has made a chilli so hot that it could kill you.

53-year-old Mike Smith grew the chilli, which is set to be used as an anaesthetic. Doctors reckon that it is so powerful that it could cause anaphylactic shock by closing up the airways.
The plant will be used in hospitals as the oils are so potent that they can numb the skin. It measures 2.8million on the Scoville scale, which is 20 times hotter than the Habanero chilli. Mike said:
It’s not been tried orally. I’ve tried it on the tip of my tongue and it just burned and burned. I spat it out in about 10 seconds.
The heat intensity just grows.
Mike developed the chilli with scientists from Nottingham university, and they named it Dragon’s Breath for obvious reasons. And before you start thinking this is phoney bullshit, Mike received an official confirmation letter from the Guinness Book of Records recognising it as the world’s most potent. That’s quite the feat, especially from somewhere where the cuisine is relatively bland.
I’m sure you’re all thinking what I’m thinking – I can’t wait to see someone try to do the chilli challenge with this.
