I’ve never really been that interested in golf or killing animals in brutal ways, but these two activities have coincided spectacularly in the following video.

In the video, some golfer called Ryan Gray is teeing off on the 18th hole of the TPC Sawgrass in Florida when he hits what can only be described as a one in a billion shot, managing to full on connect with a bird that just happened to be flying across the fairway at the time. Gray’s drive was so powerful that the bird was killed instantly and fell out of the sky, leaving a bloody mess in the lake where it landed.

Ouch. Not sure whether to congratulate the guy for an incredible shot or commiserate him for killing the bird. Not sure where the ball landed and if he has to take a stroke for hitting the bird as well, so clearly Gray probably had to deal with a lot of problems for the rest of that final hole.
Hope it didn’t affect his par, but the most important thing though is not to forget that this poor bird lost his life on account of this accident. RIP buddy.
For more excellent golf shots (yeah there are actually more), check out the greatest mini golf hole in one shot of all time. No joke, it really is special.
