Supreet Kaur, 28, read the news bulletin on IBC24, a 24-hour news channel, after a man phoned in to report the accident. Apparently three of the five people travelling in the car passed, one of whom was Kaur’s husband:

Amazingly, despite being aware that one of those who had died could’ve been her husband, she managed to keep her composure throughout the news bulletin. According to local reports, it was only after she walked out of the TV studio that she broke down. One of her colleagues said:
She is an extremely brave lady. We are proud of her as an anchor, but what happened today has left us in shock.
It’s always sad when anyone is cut off in their prime. But then having to deal with the shock of finding out this news with a camera in your face? You just can’t even imagine. RIP to Kaur’s husband and thoughts go out to her.
For a different kind of news report, here’s the time a news correspondent saved a man’s life after he crashed in the middle of their report.
