A 69-year-old man could face animal cruelty charges after he shot a neighbour’s cat with a BB gun.

Wait until you get a load of his reasoning – apparently the man, who has not been identified, was angry after the cat “looked at him like he owned the place.”
Neighbour Hung Nguyen is said to be devastated, as the animal had to be put down as a result of its injuries. Local woman Heidi Hatheaway, whose son found the injured animal hiding under their trailer park home, said:
It was pathetic. It was the most saddest thing to see a little animal, literally tears running down its face.
The shooter said after that it was a poor judgment call (no shit) and that he didn’t realise it was someone’s pet. He also added that he had shot at cats before but had previously missed:

It was not my intention to hurt that cat.
All I wanted to do was get it out in front of my walkway, stop pooping. For the flies and the smell is just horrendous.
Authorities are currently reviewing the case to decide whether to press charges. I say yes, definitely. This guy sounds like he loves shooting at cats – maybe if he received punishment he might think twice before picking up the gun next time.
Luckily for Hung, he still has eight other cats left so at least he won’t be lonely. Well, only about as lonely as a person who lives with a shit load of cats and no people.
