‘An American Werewolf in London’ is pretty much the best werewolf movie ever made, so I guess Hollywood has decided it wants to cash in on everyone’s love for this classic by giving it a 2016 remake. Is there any film they won’t reboot?

The good thing about this new movie though is that the original’s director John Landis’ son Max will be in charge of the 21st Century revamp, so it will be interesting to see how he adapts and transforms his dad’s work.

Max will also be writing the script, which has taken on ‘The Walking Dead’s’ Robert Kirkman and David Albert on board as executive directors.

For those of you who haven’t seen the first one (go and watch it now) the movie tells the story of two American tourists, played by David Naughton and Griffin Dunne, who are attacked by a werewolf across the North York moors. While one of them dies, the other is left with a bizarre new ability to transform into – you guessed it – a werewolf.

This definitely has the potential to be good if done right. As said, I have faith in the fact that John Landis’ son is on board. Hopefully he smashes it as much as his dad did.

For more remakes, did you know that ‘Jumanji’ is getting a sequel? Nostalgia alert.
