I often consider all the terrible careers out there that I could have chosen to follow, and I reckon that being a bouncer is definitely up there. I’m just not into working unsociable hours, getting into fights and dealing with drunk dickheads all the time and having everyone think I’m a dickhead at the same time.

There are a hell of a lot of bouncers around though and I suppose we owe them some gratitude for keeping everything in our clubs under control, I just wish they could be a little bit safer about for the most part. This video in fairness does articulate fairly well why most bouncers are complete dickheads to you though, and it’s because they basically have to deal with complete and utter morons who are wasted off their faces every night.

Gotta love it when that girl looking for her glasses drops the classic zinger of ‘do you know who my parents are? You’re done’. Works every time. Or not.

But seriously, being a bouncer looks like a nightmare. Even when you’re trying to be safe to people they’re just drunkenly shouting at you over and over again not making any sense and that’s something personally I don’t think I would have the patience for. Somebody should do a version of this in some shitting northern town like Blackburn, bet it’s about a million times worse up there than in this video.
