Vegans and vegetarians often get a lot of hate for absolutely no real reason from meat eaters, solely because of the fact that they’ve decided to cut animals out of their diet.

Of course, this fact does seem to go hand in hand with their air of superiority when they announce to the room that they’re vegan, so in a lot of cases the hate is probably fully justifiable. However, usually it’s just saying someone is a dickhead, but this top Italian chef has perhaps taken it a bit too far with his comments over the weekend.

Gianfranco Vissani was appearing on the On Air prime time chat show when he came out with the following:

Vegans are like members of a sect, they’re like Jehovah’s Witnesses.

It’s true, and I mean vegans, not vegetarians. What would I do with the vegans? I would kill them all.

Wow – that’s a bit extreme really isn’t it? I mean as much as I’ve disliked certain vegans in the past, I’ve known a whole bunch that don’t preach about it and are actually really safe about it too, so to lump them all together as a sect and say they should all be murdered is a bit out of line I think, albeit kind of funny as it’s such a ridiculous statement.

Obviously the vegans haven’t reacted too kindly to this news and have stated that Vissani’s comments are ‘living proof that eating meat is bad for you’. Hmmm – why do vegans always have to make it about eating meat eh? Pretty sure that eating meat hasn’t got anything to do with the fact that Vissani is a raging psychopath, but it always comes back to that with vegans doesn’t it? Should probably kill them all.
