The last thing El Chapo needs while he’s busy trying to escape prison again is for his son to get kidnapped, but that’s exactly what’s happened in Mexico this week.

Jesus Alfredo Guzman, 29, who is El Chapo’s son from his first marriage, was partying with friends at an upscale resort in Puerto Vallarta when a rival gang showed up and took him and five others.
The kidnappers appear to belong to the Jalisco New Generation drug cartel and the victims are of course from the rival Sinaloa cartel.
Alfredo might’ve been able to keep under the radar if he wasn’t such an Instagram try-hard. In fact he once almost led the FBI directly to his dad when he Tweeted a picture of them at a restaurant in Costa Rica and forgot to turn off the locator.
He’s basically let his dad down big time here. The one thing you can’t do when you’re El Chapo’s son is get kidnapped, especially when your dad’s got bigger things to deal with like planning his 10th prison break. Guy sounds a bit like Tony Soprano’s wanker son to be honest.
Let’s hope for El Chapo’s sake this doesn’t end in tears – it already sounds like he’s having a really tough time of it in prison.
