Researchers in India have found a new mating position frogs use to have sex – apparently the seventh position ever discovered in frogs which they’ve named ‘the dorsal straddle’.

The six previously known positions, which are used by up to 7,000 species of frogs and toads worldwide mostly involve the male frog boning the female frog from behind, holding her by the waist, shoulders or head.
This new position however is the least intimate of the lot:
The position involves no genital contact. The male frog straddles the female from behind using a branch or leaf to brace himself while he deposits his sperm on the female’s back. The female lays her eggs, which are fertilised by the sperm trickling down her backside.

Never thought I’d find myself feeling emasculated by a frog, but there you go. These fuckers are apparently shagging all day long and have 7 different positions in their repertoire. I’ve got maybe three tops and that’s when I’m feeling adventurous. Have to say though the ‘dorsal straddle’ sounds worth a shot.
