Guy Loses Trousers On Wild Night Out; Finds Them Thanks To The Help Of Reddit

A dude named Andy Gaudry was visiting the town of Halifax in Ottawa, Canada over the weekend for his grandmother’s 80th birthday and decided to go out drinking with some of his cousins he hadn’t seen for a while in lieu of the big celebration the day after. Unfortunately for Andy, things got a little out of hand and he ended up waking up without any trousers on.

That might not have been that big a deal in the first place – I mean it’s just a pair of trousers right – but the fact that they also contained his wallet and cellphone made it a more serious situation, so he decided to turn to Reddit for help, posting the following message:

Please help me find my pants from halifax

After that went viral, the newspapers were after his story and Gaudry came clean about everything that happened:

We were out gallivanting around town. I’m not even sure where we were, wherever all the bars are.

It’s a great town, I enjoyed myself thoroughly. So much so I felt the need to walk around without my pants on.

I know I went to this one bar that was open until 4 a.m.

My bank statement tells me I bought some food at a Shawarma Stop after 4 a.m. on Saturday. But my pants were gone when I made it back to where my family was staying at the Marriott Harbourfront.

I did manage to keep my shoes and underwear o though. Hot pink underwear to boot, so you’d really be able to notice me.

The hotel checked the tape and I did indeed have no pants on coming into the hotel — so I was roaming around the hotel with no pants on.

I have a tendency to sleep walk which is exacerbated by drinking so that might explain it.

I mean that all sounds fairly normal – I have a friend who regularly loses his trousers when he’s drunk and I know someone who sleepwalks sometimes too – apart from the fact he was wearing hot pink underwear!!? What was that all about?

Everyone will be pleased to know that the hotel were able to locate his pants – along with his phone and wallet – and return it to him on Monday evening. Here’s a security guard with the haul:

Great news. He probably didn’t really need to go on Reddit to find them but hey, we’re glad he did. No news on where they actually found them either which is a bit suspicious – kinda makes me think Gaudry was up to something a bit dodgy there.
